In response to ATVI's decision to pull GH and TC:HK

So I'll state my response to Activision Blizzard pulling Guitar Hero coming out of development. As an ex-Guitar Hero player, even I don't see anything against this... it had it's run. Viamcom's Rock Band is the gamer's substitute and already is far more developed than Guitar Hero. I can't see Activision pumping in too much development to catch up, when they could spend their resources elsewhere.

This is first time hearing Robert Kotick in this setting, and he remains poised. In fact he made his interviewees look dumb in my eyes. Next item on the agenda: True Crime: Hong Kong development comes to a halt. True Crime: Hong Kong- GTA in China? I never invested my interest in GTA's franchise. Apparently it is a reboot for the True Crime series. I'm not impressed by the gameplay demos, but some are. Though, I am pretty irked that it was developed so far and just pulled. That is the main argument going on in response videos. If this was one of your sandbox games, I can empathize. However, Guitar Hero was one of mine. So, just move on. Perhaps they should make something domestic like TC:SF.

Detractors are most likely the ones who don't have much business sense. OF COURSE, investors are confused. We already know World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Starcraft, Diablo... all blockbusters. ATVI revenue was insane in 2010. INSANE numbers. Okay, bad publicity pulled down the stock price. However, that is variable. Cut loose ends, increased growth in games that "work," and announce an increase of dividend? Meh, more than 15c/share isn't much. Did I hear stock repurchase plan?

Growth is stumped? I don't think so. My opinion is long, but I'm biased as a fan of Activision and a shareholder. However, the numbers and logic are there. It keep cutting costs and there doesn't seem to be too much corruption within- for now. Although, Bungee and Take Two are showing their competitive edge, I am not worried. This company is not going away. Current price 10.79 btw.
